What We Believe
- That Jesus Christ is the One
and Only Son of God who died for our sins, and rose from the dead
(1 Corinthians 15:1-8) For
that I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died
for our sins according to the scriptures, that He was buried, that he was
raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
- That the Bible is the inspired
Word of God
(2
Timothy 3:16-17) All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching,
rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may
be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
- That every person has worth as
a creation of God, but that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
(Romans 3:21-24) This
righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
- That forgiveness of sins and
salvation are available to those who trust Christ as Lord
(John 3:16) For God so
loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whoever believes in
Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
- That trust in Christ should
move them to repent of sin, confess their faith and be baptized into Him.
(Acts 2:38) Peter replied,
repent and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the
forgiveness of your sins.
- That the Church is the body of
Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to save the lost and
edify the saved
(Ephesians 4:1-16, 1 Cor.
12:27) Now you are the body of Christ, each one of you is a part if it.
- That Jesus Christ will one day return to earth to take those who are His
to heaven where He will reign forever as King of Kings and Lord of Lords
(1 Thess 4:13-18) For the Lord Himself will come down from
heaven…and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still
alive and are left will be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air. And
so be with the Lord forever.
